Hi, I’m Syd!
I am a graphic designer, a theatre personnel, a storyteller.
Born and raised in Oklahoma City, I’ve always been an empathetic imaginative person. From making little polymer clay crafts with my grandma to performing in my middle school production of the Wizard of Oz as Toto (which I can still recite all of my lines to this day), I enjoy creating and telling people’s stories.
My journey to graphic design is a windy road.
I started at Rose State Community College and received a Fine Arts AA Musical Theatre Emphasis degree in spring 2019. I then continued my education in undergrad at the University of Central Oklahoma receiving my BFA in Theatre Performance with a minor in Mass Communications in spring 2022.
While working on my minor I took a couple of photoshop classes and this is when I started looking into being a graphic designer. A year after graduating with my bachelors I started taking classes at Oklahoma City Community College majoring in the graphic design program where I intend to graduate with an associates degree in spring 2025.
I continue to do theatre work in the community here and there. Since graduating with my BFA I have taken a focus on working backstage from crewing to Stage Managing a few productions. In the past two years I have started doing sound design as well, and in that time I have worked on 8 different projects.
